Kaleidoscope
Kaleidoscope
The show begins with a dance performance inspired by Through My Eyes (2018) and features four performers wearing unusually shaped costumes. The ten-minute performance is followed by a twenty-minute workshop in which the audience also gets an opportunity to dance together.
Created in 2020 in response to the pandemic, Kaleidoscope gives children access to performing arts and the chance to get active and stimulate their creativity!
Originally intended for performance in a school environment, this work is also perfect for parks and public spaces. It offers children and families a fun encounter with movement and gets everyone dancing together.
Target audience : 3 to 12 year olds (pre-school, kindergarten, grade 1 to 6)
Duration : 30 minutes each performance / 3 performances separated by 10-minute breaks
Testimonials
“Everyone really enjoyed it. A few parents from the CPE wrote to me personally afterwards to tell me how much their child loved the show. And that they were talking about it for the rest of the week!”Assistant General and Administrative Director | Salle Pauline-Julien
“It was clear to see that the pupils enjoyed themselves and responded positively to it! It was such a surprise to see them rolling around on the playground asphalt, having a great time… […] Even the teachers were getting into the swing of things… myself included, especially in the morning, when I got the chance to take some memorable photographs of a festive occasion that really brought everyone together. […] Thanks again to everyone involved! They brought a little bit of colour, life and rhythm into the hearts of our pupils, at a time when things are bit short on colour and a little too grey.” Vice Principal | École Barthélémy-Vimont Annexe
“The teachers who were present loved the show and workshop as much as the pupils did. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. Hats off to the artists for the idea, the organisation and the performance.” Anonymous
“I thought the balance between the show and workshop elements was excellent. The performers encouraged the pupils to move around and the majority participated, in spite of their initial reluctance to start dancing. It seemed to me a dynamic and colourful way of getting children interested in dance. You could see them smiling and having fun during the show.” École de la Pommeraie
