Émilie Demers
Having graduated from the Montreal School of Contemporary Dance in 2006, Émilie began her career alongside choreographers Harold Rhéaume and Lucie Grégoire. She played a major role in the creation of Ample Man Danse, where she has evolved both as a performer and as artistic director, in addition to working as an occupational therapist at the CHUM since 2011, where she cultivates the therapeutic power of her art and develops dance projects that are inclusive and adapted for special needs.
More recently, Émilie has participated in Martin Messier’s 14 Lieux and in the Bouge de là productions Through My Eyes and Kaleidoscope. Over the last few years she has become a fan of hip-hop culture and founded the Collectif Flow with Romain Gailhaguet, combining breakdance with contemporary dance. In 2022 she became a member of ZemmourBallet and joined the production of Échos, by the company Sursaut.
