Following ten years of training as a gymnast, Myriam Tremblay completed a bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance and a master’s degree in performance at the Université du Québec à Montréal.

Driven by a deep curiosity for the emotional and functional expressiveness of the body, she earned a certification from the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in New York as a Laban Movement Analyst and Bartenieff Fundamentals practitioner. She later taught performance at UQAM and gave several lectures in Montréal, Mexico, and Ireland.

Myriam has been working professionally in the contemporary dance field since 2002 as a performer and has taken part in various dance intensives across North America, Europe, and Indonesia. Active as a cultural mediator for the companies Cas Public and Ample Man Danse, she also works with PPS Danse on the young‑audience production Le Trésor.

Since 2013, she has collaborated as a performer on several productions by the dance company Bouge de là, while also taking on the roles of tour director and cultural mediator. Myriam additionally provides logistical support to the company as well as to other organizations, including for the 2023 edition of the Festival Montréal Complètement Cirque.
