2026 Master Classes

2026 Master Classes

Bouge de là and Circuit‑Est present Master Classes to kick off the 2026-2027 season !

This contemporary technique class is intended for professional dancers and dance students who wish to get back in shape after the summer break.

Classes will be held from August 31 to September 3, 2026, at Circuit‑Est, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.:

Marie‑Ève Lafontaine, artist mentored by Bouge de là, will offer a sustained training session combining dynamic sequences and guided improvisations. Her proposals fully engage the body and invite participants to explore various ways of inhabiting movement, with conscious attention to grounding, spatial directions, breath, and points of support. Offered in a safe and supportive environment, the class encourages sensory exploration, autonomy in physical choices, freedom of interpretation, and the joy of moving.

Capacity: 30 participants per class (student registrations capped at 15)

Advanced registration and payment are encouraged.

Drop-ins are welcome!

THE INSTRUCTOR

THE INSTRUCTOR

Marie-Ève Lafontaine

Originally from the Mauricie region, Marie‑Ève Lafontaine has been active in Quebec’s contemporary dance community since 2004. As a performer for numerous projects and renowned companies, she has gained extensive experience in creation and performance in Quebec, Europe, and North America. Enriched by many artistic encounters, Marie‑Ève is also sought after as a choreographer for large‑scale productions combining theatre, circus, and dance. Her strong interest in teaching and pedagogy continually nourishes and enriches her path as a contemporary dance artist. Passionately supporting young pre‑professional students in their technical development for several years, she has built and refined her own dance pedagogy.

In 2023, she returned to her native Mauricie to share her experience and contribute to the growth of contemporary dance in the region. Bringing together values dear to her – kindness, accessibility, and creativity – Marie‑Ève founded the dance company L’Arantèle in 2024. After creating [SlowReWind] (2023) and SoLOW (2025), she is now developing Pastrouf, her first work for young audiences, scheduled for presentation in 2027.
