Nûr Khatir has Franco-Algerian roots and has always been interested in movement. When she was three, she started to dance in a small school in Toulouse, France. She later moved to Switzerland to study ballet at the Conservatoire cantonal du Valais. In 2011, she undertook preprofessional training in contemporary dance. Until 2019, Nûr continued to develop her skills in ballet while pursuing contemporary dance.

With her diploma in hand, Nûr decided to settle in Canada, taking up studies at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. During her three-year training, Nûr had opportunities to work with a number of choreographers such as Virginie Brunelle, Jessica Serli, Alan Lake, José Navas, and Xián Martinez. She was delighted to join the Bouge de là team right after graduating from the École in 2022.
