A graduate of the contemporary dance performance program at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Marie-Ève Dion is an active member of Montréal’s artistic community.

A performer, choreographer, teacher, photographer, and videographer specializing in dance, Marie-Ève draws on her artistic versatility to make the discipline more accessible.

She collaborates with numerous choreographers and companies, performing notably with Fleuve | Espace Danse, Bouge de là, Danse To Go, Tina Desrochers, Claire Jeannot, Geneviève Lauzon, and Marie-Pier Gilbert, as well as through various independent dance projects.

A versatile artist, she performs in corporate events, site-specific choreographic projects, dance films, music videos, and musical productions.

She has performed at many festivals and venues, including Tangente, Just for Laughs, Festivoix, DansEncore, Fringe, Quartiers Danses, ZH, Entractes, Air, FAR, and the Festival de Danse Contemporaine de Sherbrooke.

Her practice is distinguished by strong adaptability, a compelling stage presence, and a marked interest in hybrid forms and non-traditional performance contexts.

Marie-Ève has a deep interest in contemporary dance and jazz — two movement languages she explores with passion and nuance. She is particularly drawn to performance contexts where theatricality, intensity, and sensitivity intertwine to create rich and authentic stage experiences. Through her artistic approach, she seeks to merge physical expression with raw emotion while cultivating a space for dialogue between movement, presence, and storytelling.
