Émile de Vasconcelos-Taillefer

Émile has always had a strong interest in the performing arts, but it was only in early adulthood that he discovered his desire to become a dancer. His first passion was words and literature, which led him to study Liberal Arts at Marianopolis College to broaden his understanding of the world and enrich his writing.
In 2017, a medical leave interrupted his studies, during which he took his first dance class and fell in love with the art form. He soon immersed himself in ballet training, first at the École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec, then in Ballet Divertimento’s pre-professional program, from which he graduated in 2020. That same year, he entered the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, where his passion deepened.
Today, Émile explores every dimension of his art—combining dance, theatre, and his academic background both as a performer and as a creator engaged in social causes.
